The best offers on the internet throughout the year are given on November 11 at Aliexpress which is the Chinese market place. It’s «Singles Day», 11-11. This special day in the world of online shopping has been going on for some years now, and every year they exceed the previous year’s sales volume.
The formula is similar to Black Friday born in the United States and is gradually spreading in many countries. I, personally, buy my antivirus that day and renew the same Black Friday with the corresponding super discounts.
But, Black Friday is getting smaller in comparison with the Singles Day of 11/11 in China and especially in Aliexpress. It was an experiment by other large groups of Chinese online stores like Tmall or Taobao to promote aggressive discounts simply on that one day. The idea was well received and has spread to all Chinese e-commerces.
November 11 at Aliexpress (coupons, photos, etc.)
The Aliexpress group is preparing with care that day of discounts with contests and promotions for the customer to start warming up engines for that day. They have changed the look of the web and have focused everything for November 11. The website is very lively with contests andpromotions. There are many contests to earn money;
- Create a wish list and make it public. It has to be a minimum of 5 lists and then you have to promote it on social networks.
- Games with the mouse, downloading the Aliexpress application and other small contests.
- Photo contest. This was the only one I liked because you could win $50. It was about sending a photo about the Aliexpress day and putting it on social networks.
These contests to win coupons on Aliexpress weren’t very valuable, just $5. They did more to promote the event.
Special discounts on Aliexpress
But most important are the discounts of up to 50% of the items offered on this platform. Absolutely everything is discounted. And you will find what you are looking for. There is a «Featured Brands» section to give you an idea of what you can buy.
For each section, you can filter by the best valued sellers, day selection or discoveries. In these cases, and discovering the best deals on Aliexpress, I recommend always going for a shot and letting others take risks with new suppliers. Read this article I wrote about some tips for buying at Aliexpress.

Selling trade on that day
The numbers of this event are impressive. Jack Ma, the creator of the Alibaba group, developed this idea for the 2009 China Bachelor Day sales and it spread to all Chinese online stores. The business is so lucrative that it has surpassed the sales volume of Black Friday or Cyber Monday. It moves more than 9,000 billion dollars in those 24 hours. And this year, Alibaba is striving to further connect Chinese manufacturers with Western consumers. And even more so, because within China the competition between different Chinese markets to capture the small consumer is enormous. There are other great Chinese players like JD.com or Jumei who want their piece of the cake. And all of these compete on price. So, better for us.
